PictureReady Remote PictureReady! can be remotely controlled via a TCP/IP connection using the PictureReady Remote application. This allows centralised control of up to 4 PictureReady systems from one remote position. The systems can be controlled to record, stop and mark XML hilites either individually, or as a group. PictureReady Remote uses Apple's Bonjour (formally called rendezvous) zero configuration systems to connect to the Pictureready systems. If you have checked the 'Enable control via TCP/IP' on each PictureReady system on your LAN, you will see the IP addresses shown in a pop up menu and you can connect to that machine. You can also monitor the status of the remote PictureReady machines via the remote. When using XServes and other headless configurations, we recommend you also install Apple Remote Desktop, to perform initial configuration, destination and video setting for the machines, then once prepared, disconnect the ARD and use the PictureReady remote for real time control. ARD adds significant load to your PictureReady systems and network and you should avoid running ARD whilst PictureReady is recording. Optionally you can purchase the PictureReady Scheduler control application which controls up to 8 PictureReady systems and includes a multimachine ingest scheduler and on screen preview video from the remote machines |
